AfterQuery is helping push the frontier of LLMs and AI Agents through novel datasets and experimentation. We work on building the most complex infrastructure that powers frontier data creation for agentic and hard reasoning workflows.

We work with all 5 of the leading AI labs and are becoming the go-to partner for data infrastructure for YC companies. We have a sharp hockey stick growth rate and are extremely talent-dense, with most of our founding team coming from top IB and quant firms.

Overview

We’re looking for a front‑end leaning Founding Software Engineer with proven experience building full‑stack web applications to help us design, build, and scale complex data‑capturing workflows. You’ll join as one of our first hires in LATAM, with direct ownership over product architecture, technical decisions, and early engineering culture.

What You'll Do

• Build and scale complex data‑capturing workflows across web (Next.js) and desktop (Python) environments.

• Architect and optimize data pipelines that handle high‑throughput, large‑volume workloads.

• Collaborate with the founding team to translate strategy into shipped features quickly and iteratively.

• Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and help lay the foundation for future team growth.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally across full‑stack web systems.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in Next.js, React, and broader front‑end fundamentals.

• Working knowledge of Python for desktop or backend data workflows.

• Track record building or scaling products that process complex or heavy data workflows.

• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating remotely with US‑based teams.

• Comfortable working in a high‑ownership, fast‑moving environment—but does not necessarily need prior startup experience.

Bonus

• Contributions on GitHub or similar portfolio projects.

• Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tooling.

$70K – $90K/year
