Compliance Officers
About the Role
Mercor is hiring experienced Compliance Officers to help evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. In this role, you’ll evaluate AI-generated compliance content and workflows, leveraging your real-world expertise in examining laws, regulations, and licensing standards, and in enforcement inspection and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated compliance assessments, regulatory analyses, licensing reviews, and other enforcement artifacts for quality and accuracy.
- Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on regulatory rigor, evidentiary soundness, and enforcement reasoning.
- Review compliance scenarios involving eligibility determinations, license and permit review, violation reporting, and regulatory recommendations and provide expert feedback.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Compliance Officer, Compliance Analyst, Compliance Manager, License Examiner, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, or another closely related compliance or regulatory-enforcement role.
- Experience examining, evaluating, or investigating eligibility for or conformity with laws, regulations, licenses, or permits, including preparing findings and enforcement reports.
- Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
- Strong written English communication skills.
Additional Information
- Start date: Immediate
- Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks
- Payment: task-based (payment upon first task approval). Experts who complete their first task within the required timeline will then be qualified to be paid hourly for the remainder of the project.
Compensation
- Pay: $70 – $110/hour
- Type: Hourly contract
