About the job

As a Senior Front End Developer at GlitchD Labs, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our diverse range of projects, including Cloud Development Kit (CDK) applications, and website development. You will work closely with designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, responsive, and performant web applications.

Responsbilities

• Design and implement user-friendly and visually appealing front-end interfaces for websites and products.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups into interactive and accessible web applications.

• Develop reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Integrate front-end components with back-end services and APIs, with a focus on efficient data availability and access.

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness of applications.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality standards.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and best practices.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development.

• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, and modern frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Experience with Cloud Development Kit (CDK).

• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.

• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Bonus Points

• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).

• Knowledge of server-side rendering and static site generation.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.

• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal portfolio.
