About This Role

NuCurrent is seeking a skilled Embedded C/Python Firmware Engineer to join our Bangalore team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge wireless charging ASICs. You will be responsible for building, improving, and maintaining the firmware that powers our wireless power solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and directly impact the performance and capabilities of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance embedded firmware using Embedded C and Python.

• Understand and work within existing codebases to add new features or improve current functionality based on customer requirements.

• Interface with hardware components using communication protocols such as NFC, Qi, Bluetooth, I2C, SPI, UART.

• Develop automation scripts for system validation and regression testing to ensure reliability.

• Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and QA teams to deliver robust firmware designs.

• Document software designs, processes, and debugging outcomes clearly and effectively.

• Use version control (Git) and issue tracking (Jira) for collaboration and project tracking (training can be provided if needed).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with Embedded C and Python firmware development.

• Familiarity with NFC/Bluetooth chipsets and related hardware interfaces.

• Experience with automation testing frameworks for embedded systems.

• Nice-to-have: Hands-on hardware experience to work more autonomously.

Location & Compensation

• Based in Bangalore, India.

• Salary range: $45,000 – $50,000 USD per year
