About the role

We’re hiring a Head of Product to translate company strategy into a focused roadmap and ship outcomes—rolling up your sleeves on discovery, specs, and delivery while building the foundations of a small but mighty product org. This is a player-coach role: you’ll plan and

prioritize at the portfolio level and also write PRDs, run experiments, jump into QA, and close the loop with users.

Reports to: CEO. Partners closely with: CTO, COO, Growth, CS, and domain SMEs (tax, bookkeeping, legal).

Location: Remote (Americas time zones).

What you’ll do

Strategy → Roadmap (12–18 months)

● Convert business goals into a clear product strategy and an evolving, prioritized roadmap with crisp trade-offs.

● Maintain a transparent prioritization framework (problem sizing, impact, effort, risk) that the org can trust.

Discovery, Experiments & Delivery

● Own continuous discovery: interviews, shadowing workflows, problem statements, JTBD, and opportunity sizing.

● Define PRDs, acceptance criteria, success metrics, and lead sprint rituals with Engineering and Design.

● Run PLG experiments (onboarding, activation, pricing/packaging tests, self-serve flows) and A/B tests end-to-end.

Outcomes & Product Analytics

● Instrument funnels and dashboards for activation, adoption, retention, CSAT/NPS, and time-to-value.

● Set quarterly product KPIs and review weekly: cycle time, delivery predictability, defect rates, feature usage; for AI features, track quality/accuracy thresholds.

Customer Voice & Feedback Loops

● Establish VOC channels (in-product feedback, CS loops, beta programs)
● Close the loop with release notes, changelogs, and roadmap updates.

Team, Process & Product Ops (build the muscle)

● Stand up lightweight Product Ops: roadmap source-of-truth, discovery repo, analytics basics, decision logs.

● Coach PM/Design (and hire 1–2 ICs as needed) to scale discovery and delivery without losing speed.

Cross-Functional GTM

● Partner with Growth/CS for launches and playbooks (positioning, enablement, activation).

● Align with Finance/Legal/Tax/Bookkeeping SMEs to productize services into repeatable, scalable workflows.

What success looks like (first 6–12 months)

● Clarity & cadence: roadmap with measurable bets; on-time, high-quality releases with tighter cycle time.

● PLG motion: improved activation and week-4 retention; shorter time-to-value; higher feature adoption.

● Quality: visible drop in high-severity bugs/reh work; AI feature accuracy hitting agreed thresholds.

● Foundations: analytics, discovery repo, release notes, and product rituals running without heroics.

Qualifications (must-haves)

● 6–8+ years in Product Management with 3+ years leading PMs or acting as a player-coach in B2B SaaS.

● Demonstrated ability to own outcomes across discovery and delivery—strategy in the morning, tickets by the afternoon.

● Strong PLG toolkit: activation design, experimentation, onboarding, pricing/packaging tests.

● Fluent with product analytics (events, funnels, cohorts) and data-driven decisions.

● Excellent cross-functional leadership with Engineering, Design, CS, and GTM.

● Professional English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Nice to have

● Experience in operations-heavy domains (finance/tax/payroll/legal) or compliance-centric products.

● Background with AI-assisted workflows (quality/accuracy metrics, human-in-the-loop).

● Familiarity with EOS-style operating rhythms and Monday/Google Sheets-driven reporting.

Required Skills

  • Cross Functional Product Management — Advanced

Compensation

$70K – $90K/year

Timezone: UTC-8 to UTC-5
