GigDrift (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a remote job aggregator website operated at gigdrift.io. We collect job listings from multiple platforms and present them in one place to help you find remote work opportunities.

2. What Data We Collect

GigDrift is designed to be privacy-friendly. We do not require user accounts, we do not collect names or email addresses through forms, and we do not maintain mailing lists. Here is what we do collect:

2.1 Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. A detailed breakdown is provided in Section 9 (Cookie Policy) below.

2.2 Analytics Data (Anonymized)

We use Google Analytics 4 (via MonsterInsights) with IP anonymization enabled. This means your full IP address is never stored by Google. The data collected includes:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or search engine
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)
  • Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from anonymized IP)

This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

2.3 Server Logs

Our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically collects standard server log data, including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, requested URLs, and timestamps. This data is used solely for security and performance monitoring.

2.4 Contact Page

Our contact page provides an email address for you to reach us. If you send us an email, we will process the personal data contained in that email (your name, email address, and message content) solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not store contact form submissions in any database on our website.

Rank Math (SEO plugin) operates entirely server-side and does not collect or process any visitor personal data.

5. International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers are based in the United States. Transfers of personal data to the USA are protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on July 10, 2023 (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795). This means the European Commission has determined that the United States provides an adequate level of data protection for certified organizations under the DPF.

Google LLC is a certified participant in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can verify certifications at dataprivacyframework.gov.

Hostinger International Ltd. is established in the EU (Lithuania), so data processed by Hostinger does not involve international transfers outside the EEA.
