What the work looks like
This is a labelling and review role on short multimedia clips. Day to day, you watch or listen to a clip, tag what happens in it following a written guideline, and check whether a description generated by an AI model matches the clip. When something is unclear or breaks the content rules, you flag it and write a short explanation of why.
The output is training data for a micro1 client project, so consistency matters more than speed: the same kind of clip should get the same label from you on day one and on day fifty.
Who it suits
- People who have done content moderation, transcription or data labelling before and can follow a style guide without cutting corners.
- Careful listeners and viewers: a detail missed in the audio or in the frame means a wrong label.
- Anyone who writes clear, short English. Every flag needs a one- or two-line reason.
Probably not for you if you are looking for a stable hourly income: the rate is at the entry level of AI data work and hours depend on the client project.
How the pay compares on GigDrift
At $8–$10/hour this is the entry tier for video work. Other micro1 video roles we list today: Video Data Annotator ($7/hour) and Video Annotation Expert ($15–$80/hour, for specialists). If you have annotation experience, apply to both levels.
How applying works
- The Apply button opens the listing on micro1, where you create a free account.
- micro1 screens candidates with its own AI recruiter interview; selection and contracts are handled entirely by micro1.
- If you pass, micro1 contacts you about the project and onboarding.
GigDrift is not the employer. We list this role and may receive a referral fee from micro1 if you are hired; it does not change your pay or the selection process.
