About Sunrise Robotics

At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to evolve the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost.

Our Vision

We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future.

About the Job

As our (Senior) Delivery Engineer, you are presented with a unique and exhilarating challenge: how do we make delivery of automation solutions scalable and efficient, with minimal non-recurring engineering costs. The role requires a mindset shift from traditional system integrator one-off design, build, and delivery processes to a productised solution that facilitates scalable delivery through the use of Sunrise tools, products and processes. You are going to play a crucial part in improving and fine tuning these. Your practical experience of delivering traditional automation solutions will enable you to focus on all key areas that have the biggest improvement potential when applying Sunrise built technology. At the same time you will provide valuable customer feedback when delivering Sunrise products and fine-tune the target capabilities list in order to maximise market traction and delivery scalability.

What You’ll Do

  • Validate all the delivery processes, products and used tools and provide feedback to the R&D team about most impactful improvement areas,

  • validate target product capabilities from a market traction and scalable delivery perspective,

  • frequently travel to customer sites for new robot deliveries,

  • optimise delivery and operational support processes for stability and scalability,

  • as a project manager you will lead customer deliveries from start to finish to ensure customer success and provide necessary operational support roles for the initial delivered robots,

  • validate generative AI solution results from Sunrise workstation qualification pipeline flow and provide feedback to the R&D team where the main improvements can be done,

  • you will oversee the quality assurance process of all the Perception and Behaviour Tree outputs so that robot robustness and stability will be assured under realistic operating conditions,

  • you will perform incident investigation and response to any anomalies of the robot systems in operation.

Who You Are

  • You are excited about completely reinventing the delivery process and scalability of flexible automation solutions.

  • You understand the fundamentals of deep learning models and how they can be efficiently re-trained for particular tasks.

  • You have experience in ROS 2 and Behavior tree programming.

  • You understand the high level concepts of synthetic data generation, Nvidia Isaac Sim and Omniverse environment, Quality Assurance tests.

  • Are an abstract thinker with the capability of seeing problems from different perspectives e.g. different users, high level descriptions, generalisation across different applications.

  • Capacity to work with multidisciplinary teams including AI, mechanical, electrical and other engineers to develop complex robotic systems and evaluate them in advanced simulation environments.

  • An excellent communicator who can articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Passionate about robotics, automation, and the transformative potential of intelligent systems in manufacturing.

  • Insatiably curious and open minded.
