Procurement & Vendor Expert

What you’ll do

Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in procurement. As a Procurement & Vendor Expert, you’ll build long-horizon sourcing tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Tasks need to have checkable answers; no open-ended essays, no subjective judgment calls.

Expect to build scenarios across:

• Sourcing and diligence: RFP responses scored against a rubric, vendor due diligence with required fields and known risk flags
• Contracting: supplier contract reviews that identify a seeded list of issues, SOW negotiations resolving to defined commercial outcomes
• Vendor management: scorecards with defined metrics and calculated totals, renewal analyses with a ground-truth recommendation

These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.

Who we’re looking for

• 3+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management
• Expertise in one or more of the following: vendor due diligence, SOW negotiation and structuring, SaaS pricing models, supplier security review, procurement-tool administration (Coupa, Ariba, Zip)
• Comfortable reading and producing procurement artifacts: RFPs, vendor scorecards, contract summaries, negotiation plans
• Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics

Compensation

$75–$100/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput.
