Mercor is seeking Phylogenetics QA Reviewers for a premier project with one of the world’s top AI labs. This role pays between $55-80/hour.

In this role, you will review and quality-check challenging phylogenetics and evolutionary-biology problems authored by domain experts, verifying correctness, scientific rigor, and clarity of the data used to train and evaluate state-of-the-art large language models. Each problem receives multiple independent reviews.

You’re a good fit if you:

Have a PhD or advanced degree (or equivalent research experience) in Evolutionary Biology, Phylogenetics, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, or Ecology & Evolution

Have strong reviewing / QA instincts and can rigorously verify the correctness of problems and their solutions

Have high attention to detail

Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Screening Process:

You will need to complete a short interview and task that will take 20-30 mins and we will pay for up to 1 hour of onboarding time including this and a few onboarding videos if you are hired.
