Litigation & Disputes Expert
What you’ll do
Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in litigation. As a Litigation & Disputes Expert, you’ll build long-horizon litigation tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Tasks need to have checkable answers; no open-ended essays, no subjective judgment calls.
Expect to build scenarios across:
- Discovery: document review with ground-truth tags, privilege logging with known privileged/not-privileged classifications, discovery responses against a rule set
- Research: case research with verifiable holdings and correct citations, cite-checking against a ground-truth authority list
- Procedural work: deposition outlines covering a required topic list, discovery-response timing tied to FRCP/state rules
These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.
Who we’re looking for
- JD; 3+ years in litigation (firm or in-house)
- Bar admission in at least one US state
- Expertise in one or more of the following: ediscovery (Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO), legal research (Westlaw, Lexis), FRCP or state civil procedure, privilege and work-product doctrine
- Comfortable reading and producing litigation artifacts: review coding decisions, privilege logs, research memos, deposition outlines
- Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics
Compensation
$110–$150/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput.
