Role Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, qualifying, and engaging potential customers. This role focuses on outbound prospecting and inbound, acting as the first point of contact in the sales funnel. The BDR plays a critical role in driving pipeline growth and supporting overall revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research potential target accounts and key decision-makers
Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and social channels
Schedule meetings and service demonstrations for Account Executives
Maintain accurate records of activities and pipeline in CRM (HubSpot)
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize lead generation
strategies
Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and pipeline
targets
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market
conditions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent
experience)
0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing
roles
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High level of motivation, resilience, and goal orientation
Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SaaS, tech sales, or B2B environments
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
Experience with sales engagement platforms (e.g., Apollo )
Understanding of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger)
