Artifact Expert — Software Engineering

About the Role

We’re looking for experienced software engineers to work as Artifact Experts. You’ll review, create, and comment on engineering artifacts — design docs, technical slide decks, code walkthroughs, and analysis spreadsheets — to ensure they meet a high standard of clarity, accuracy, and rigor.

What You’ll Do

• Review existing engineering slides, design docs, and sheets and provide detailed, constructive feedback

• Create original technical artifacts from scratch (architecture decks, RFCs, post-mortems, data analyses)

• Annotate and commentate on artifacts to improve structure, content, and presentation

• Apply software-engineering expertise to ensure artifacts reflect realistic, high-quality professional output

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer (backend, full-stack, ML, infrastructure, mobile, or similar)

• Comfortable producing technical writing and technical slide decks

• Strong attention to detail and written communication

• Self-directed; can deliver consistent, high-quality work on a flexible schedule

Compensation

• Pay: $80 – $120/hour
• Type: Full-time contract
• Location: Remote
