Epidemiologist — Patient Population Sizing
Mercor is partnering with a biotech and pharma research team on expert human-evaluation work — creating and critiquing rubrics that analyze commercial drugs and drug-development programs. We’re seeking an epidemiologist for a paid pilot, with the potential to continue as the work scales.
Responsibilities
- Create and critique rubrics that analyze commercial drugs and drug-development programs
- Size the patient population for a given drug or indication (prevalence, incidence, diagnosed → treated → addressable)
- Judge whether a patient-population estimate is sound and well-sourced, and flag over- or under-counting
- Apply this across the pilot’s set of drugs and indications
Requirements
- US-based epidemiologist
- Familiarity with biotech/pharma development programs
- Experience turning real-world data (claims, EHR, registries) into patient funnels
- 5+ years practising epidemiology (graduate degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health)
Engagement Details
- Duration: Approximately 10–20 hours over a 1–2 week pilot
- Remote — US-based

Compensation
