Clinical Documentation Expert
What you’ll do
Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in clinical documentation. As a Clinical Documentation Expert, you’ll build long-horizon documentation tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Tasks need to have checkable answers; no open-ended essays, no subjective judgment calls.
Expect to build scenarios across:
- Encounter documentation: SOAP notes, H&Ps, and progress notes with required elements and only source-supported findings
- Transitions of care: discharge summaries with a required field list and medication reconciliation tied to source
- CDI queries: queries triggered by rule-defined documentation gaps with known correct query framing
These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.
Who we’re looking for
- 2+ years as a medical scribe, CDI specialist, RN, NP, PA, or similar documentation-heavy role
- Expertise in one or more of the following: SOAP or H&P authoring, CDI query practice, discharge summary construction, EHR documentation workflows (Epic, Cerner)
- Comfortable reading and producing clinical artifacts: SOAP notes, H&Ps, discharge summaries, CDI queries
- Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics
Compensation
$55–$80/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput.
