Visual & Brand Design Expert
What you’ll do
Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in visual design. As a Visual & Brand Design Expert, you’ll build long-horizon design tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth (brand guidelines, accessibility standards, asset specs). Tasks need to have checkable answers; “which logo looks prettier” doesn’t qualify.
Expect to build scenarios across:
- Brand system enforcement: auditing assets against a defined guideline set for color, type, spacing, and logo usage
- Spec-driven asset production: outputs meeting required dimensions, formats, and element lists
- Accessibility and technical standards: WCAG AA contrast, font-size minimums, export specs, file size limits
These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.
Who we’re looking for
- 3+ years in visual, brand, or marketing design
- Portfolio demonstrating brand systems and polished visual craft
- Expertise in one or more of the following: Figma production, Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), typography systems, brand guideline authorship, accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Comfortable reading and producing design artifacts: brand guidelines, asset specs, audit reports, accessibility annotations
- Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics
Compensation
$70–$95/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput.
