Quality & Compliance Engineering Expert
What you’ll do
Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in quality engineering. As a Quality & Compliance Engineering Expert, you’ll build long-horizon quality tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Tasks need to have checkable answers; no open-ended essays, no subjective judgment calls.
Expect to build scenarios across:
- Non-conformance and CAPA: NCRs with required fields, CAPAs with a documented correct root cause and containment action
- Audit preparation: responses against specific ISO/FDA clauses with known correct citations
- Verification and validation: inspection protocols and IQ/OQ/PQ with defined acceptance criteria and pass/fail outcomes
These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.
Who we’re looking for
- BS in Engineering; 3+ years in quality engineering or compliance in a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, auto, pharma)
- Expertise in one or more of the following: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA QSR / 21 CFR 820, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 14971, CAPA methodology
- Comfortable reading and producing quality artifacts: NCRs, CAPAs, audit responses, V&V protocols
- Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics
- ASQ CQE/CQA or equivalent a plus
Compensation
$75–$100/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput.
