Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist — Mercor

Mercor is hiring a Fractional Billing & AR Operations Specialist on behalf of a fast-growing AI research lab. This organization partners with enterprises and startups to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions. Ideal for a detail-oriented finance operator who thrives in high-growth environments.

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end client invoicing: time-and-materials, milestone-based, and retainer billing
• Monitor outstanding invoices and proactively manage collections
• Maintain AR aging reports and provide cash flow forecast visibility
• Assess and improve billing systems, tools, and reporting workflows
• Support monthly revenue reconciliation and financial reporting

What they’re looking for

• 5+ years in billing and AR operations
• Prior experience in professional services (consulting, law, advisory)
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar
• Strong understanding of time-based and project-based billing models
• Excellent written communication for professional client correspondence
• Nice to have: startup experience, SaaS billing, FP&A collaboration

Compensation

• Pay: $75-$100/hour
• Type: Fractional/contract, flexible engagement
• Location: Remote
• Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
